The FA is investigating an incident between QPR defender Jack Robinson and Wolves forward Diogo Jota on Saturday, Sky sources understand.
The off-the-ball clash between the pair occurred in the second half of the Sky Bet Championship clash at Molineux.
League leaders Wolves were 2-1 winners against Ian Holloway`s side after early goals from Alfred N`Diaye and Helder Costa. Northern Ireland international Conor Washington scored QPR`s reply six minutes into the second half.
Jota has scored 12 goals in 31 Championship appearances for Wolves this season.
The on-loan Atletico Madrid forward will join Wolves, who are 12 points clear of second-placed Aston Villa, on a permanent basis in July.
Jota is familiar to Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, having also played under him when Nuno was in charge at Porto last season.
Left-back Robinson, who joined QPR from Liverpool in 2014, is out of contract at Loftus Road at the end of this season.
