Wes Harding has signed a new two-year deal to extend his stay at Birmingham City.
The new contract for the 21-year-defender, who has broken into the first team ranks this season, will come into effect on July 1 and will keep Harding at St Andrew`s until June 30, 2020.
Harding made his senior debut for the club as a substitute in the Carabao Cup victory over Crawley Town, when he came on for Emilio Nsue in a 5-1 win last August.
He made his second appearance two weeks later, once again as a replacement for Nsue, in a 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth in the same competition.
Harding, a product of the academy, is yet to feature under Steve Cotterill in the Sky Bet Championship but has featured in several of the match-day squads this term.
The versatile defender, who can play at either centre-half or right full-back, is a former captain of the U23 side and will stay at the Midlands club for the next two seasons.
